List & Claim Business with Yellow Pages

Listing and claiming your business properly with Yellow Pages is another important step to improving your local search rankings.  Yellow Pages is 1 of many secondary local search engines where you will need to list/claim and verify your business.  The amount of traffic that your website or business receives from Yellow Pages will depend on your industry and city.  However, having a verified listing with Yellow Pages should help improve your Google Places ranking.

In this tutorial you will learn how to:

• See if your business is listed with Yellow Pages.
• Add and/or claim your lisitng.
• Update your NAP (name, address, phone).
• Choose proper categories.
• Add other business attributes.
• Verify your listing.
• Claim, verify, & remove duplicate listings.

Step 1:  Yellow Pages Sign Up

Sign up with Yellow Pages Online Account Services

Select “Get Started”

Step 2:  Sign up for Online Account Services

Enter first and last name, email, create password, and enter security question.

Select “Sign Me Up”

Step 3:  Manage your Free Listing

Select “manage your free listing”

Step 4:  Add a Listing

Select “Add a Listing”

Step 5:  Enter Basic Business Info

Enter Primary Phone, Business Name, Business Owners Name, and Zip Code.

Select “Continue”

Step 6:  Select Matching Business

Select the matching business

Select “Continue”

Step 7:  Add your Business Details

Enter primary phone, business name, address,

Choose Business Categories

Enter business owners name, business website

Enter product and service details, amenities, brands carried, languages spoken

Enter details to describe or help customers find your business location.  Enter business associations, affiliations, and the year that the business opened.

Enter your business Social Media details.  Create business coupons.

Select user improvement options for listing.

Select “Save & Continue”

Step 8:  Verify your Listing

Select verify your listing by phone

Select “Start”

Step 9:  Listing Authorization

Your business will recieve an automated call and the dash board will display your verification pin number.  Enter the number with touch pad on phone.

Step 10: Congratulations – Your Business Listing is Verified

Select “Go to Your Account”

Step 11: Listing Dashboard

Your business listing is now claimed and verified.  You control the listing for future modifications or improvements.
